Resources for Art
These pages lister Resources are for finding places to learn and expand on what FFIC does. We encourage people to look high and low for other places to learn. Art is a very persional expression where everyone is different. To ask what is and is not art as if to discern what can be art forgets what expression actually is. Anything with expression at its core is art.
Coloring Page bliss is where I persionally learned all my shading with color pencils. While I prefer to use coloring pages for my little headspace I did find her very helpful for blending coloring pencil type paintings. I highly recomend her coloring sheets on shading and blending PrismaColors. Perhaps the best place to start is simply coloring just to be coloring. Coloring pages while not, "your line art," can help you learn how to be more confident in over all art skills. Just be responsible with the line art and give credit where credit is due.
Mark Crilley has been very sucessful with crafting a buisness on Manga in America. I found his advice very helpful in many different aspects of art and the business there of. I highly recomend his books because of how well balanced they are with illustration/demonstration to the text ratio. Although his Youtube videos are really helpful as well. I am obssed with books. Anyone who comes into my house notices this aspect to my life before any other.
Jazza is often times tongue and cheek. However, his humor can be a great inspiration on its own. He has created an incredible character for his art. His tutorials are kind of old, but are worth watching. He can be a great inspiration when its just been an awful day. I find his youtube stuff helpful when I am stuck in a rut. If you take up digital art his advice can be very helpful as well.
